Minister Gwarzo Commiserates With Jigawa Govt., People Over Fuel Tanker Explosion

The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, has commiserated with the  Government and people of Jigawa State over the fuel tanker explosion in Majia town in Taura Local Government Area which claimed more than 100 lives.

The Minister, in a condolence message to the families of the victims, described the incidence as devastating, heartbroken and a national tragedy. 

In the message which was issued to newsmen on Thursday by his SSA Media and Publicity, Malam Adamu Abdullahi,the minister said: "I am deeply shocked and griefed when the news of the incidence was broken to me."

He enjoined the families of the victims to receive the incident as a fateful act from the Almighty Allah(SWT).

Gwarzo prayed Almighty Allah to grant the souls of the deceased an eternal rest and give their families the fortitude to bear the loss.

He urged the people to be safety conscious with a view to preventing future occurrence of such tragedy, and commended the Federal Government for its prompt response to the incident.
