The Kano State Ministry of Commerce, Investment and Industry is to create clusters for small scale businesses to flourish across the state.
The state Commissioner of Commerce, Investment and Industry,Alhaji Shehu Wada Sagagi, disclosed this while interacting with Journalists in Kano on Thursday.

He also explained that the initiative would enable the operators of the clusters to share information and ideas on how to develop their respective ventures.
He stated that the exercise would enhance the growth and development of businesses as well as boost the economy of the state.
The commissioner said his ministry would create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, including working in synergy with other government agencies to achieve the goal.
He noted that plans were underway to collaborate with the state Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Land and Physical Planning to ensure that businesses had access to the resources they would need to succeed.
He said his agency would work closely with the Ministry of Environment to ensure that markets in the state were "healthy and attractive to investors."
Sagagi also revealed that Governor Abba Kabir had approved the refurbishing of the Garment Industries which were initiated by the administration of former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
"Government plans to create an avenue for youths to receive training in the garment industries to enable them to become self-employed as well as employers of labour.
